Love Day Photography were asked by Melissa & Will to take the wedding photography  of their special day at Northcote Manor in North Devon. This large country house was a great venue for this crisp October wedding day!

The day started earlier at the beautiful Bishops Nympton church with its 15th Century tower dating back to Norman times. Then Melissa and Will’s journey back to Northcote Manor was by gorgeous VW Campervan supplied by Bo Jangles and the bridesmaids by VW Beetle.

As you climb the long winding drive up to Northcote Manor you get a sense of the amazing views that are just over the crest of the final ascent… and you are not disappointed. Nestling in the Devon countryside is this 18th Century Manor House set within 20 acres of grounds with views over the magnificent Taw Valley.

A delicious buffet meal was laid on with the Profiteroles being a favourite for dessert. Later in the evening there was a characaturist and chocolate fountain, both were enjoyed hugely by the 100+ guests and the partying went late on into the night.

Many Congratulations Mr and Mrs Gunton, we hope you have a wonderful honeymoon in Mexico, we’ll make sure your wedding nophotos are ready on your return.

Love Day Photography were asked to cover the wedding photography and highlight film for Sarah- Jayne & Matt on Dartmoor yesterday.

The couple married in a small church ceremony in Islington, followed by a reception up at Two Bridges Hotel. Sarah-Jayne looked amazing in a stunning dress and Simply Flowers of Bovey Tracey had done a great job with the beautiful flowers. We loved the iris bouquets.

We captured some fantastic images of the couple up on the high moor and at misty Postbridge clapper bridge.

On Friday Love Day Photography visited the Tour of Britain, Devon Stage, at the first ever hill climb finish at Haytor. The atmosphere on Dartmoor was electric with crowds of supporters cheering the cyclists on, including Bradley Wiggins the tour leader!

It was great to have some these images printed in the Mid Devon advertiser and the Western Morning News newspapers.

Well here they are, just a few images from the day.

Last weekend Love Day Photography covered the wedding photography and highlight film for Laura & Mike’s big day in Ippelpen, Devon. The day started with a traditional church wedding at the very sweet Littlehempston Church, where the bride and groom were treated guard of honour of pitch forks from their young farmer friends! They then travel by tractor to the groom’s parents farm to party with their friends and family. We had a great day with them, enjoying their country wedding in the September sunshine. We loved the farm dog, English Springer Murphy, and the hog roast had the best cracking ever! The couple were treated to some stunning early evening light for their couple shots.

We are so pleased today’s weather is looking cracking! As we know two special couples tying the knot!

Love Day Photography are returning to Stoodleigh Court in Devon to photograph Sarah & Oliver’s wedding day. We are looking forward to returning to this venue, and sharing this couple’s special day.

Also it is our dear friend’s Jessica & Jason’s big day, and we wish then a fab time at the Edgemoor Hotel  in Bovey Tracey with their family and friends. We hope to join them later for a drink!

Yesterday, Love Day Photography covered Alex & Richard’s wedding which was held at the Royal Citadel in Plymouth. After a wet and windy pre-visit with the couple a few weeks ago we were delighted that the couple and their guests enjoyed a beautiful day.

The day was a traditional officer’s wedding with the ceremony held at the Citadel’s Chapel, then a guard of honour, drinks on the battlements overlooking Plymouth Hoe and Drake’s Island followed by a meal in the officer’s mess.

We loved many things about the day including the bride’s exquisite dress, the commandery of the Royal Artillery officers,  to the beautiful cake that was decorated with summer berries and flowers… we hope to post a few images soon.

We hope Alex enjoys the surprise honeymoon destination!

Last week Love Day Photography were asked to do an engagement shoot for Victoria & Chris. We headed to Bodmin Moor for early evening and had great fun with the couple and their cars! They met in a car club so we very keen for their cars to be part of the shoot! We also love the images we captured of the couple as the sunset at an old tin mine.

Today Love Day Photography are looking forward to Serena & Joe’s wedding day at Torre Abbey in Torquay, Devon. It is the first time we have covered this wedding venue, and we are looking to photographing the ceremony in the stunning Spanish Barn.

Yesterday, Love Day Photography covered the wedding photography for a country wedding in mid Devon. The day was fun of fun down on the farm, from a giant hay bale bride and groom, to the groom’s vintage tractor, to a bride who plays sax and has her own ice-cream van!

Kate & Paul’s wedding was held at Kate’s parent’s farm, and they had all pulled out all the stops to landscape the area and host a great celebration for the 200 guests. The highlight of the day for me was to go up in a cherry picker in one of their barns to take the group photo.

We were spoilt for choice for great photographic opportunities, countryside views and the day was completed by some fantastic fireworks! We hope Kate & Paul enjoy their Isles of Scilly honeymoon.
