Love Day Photography, have spent the last few weeks contacting all our 2014 wedding couples, to check everything is running smoothly! We are really looking forward to taking your wedding photographs around Devon & Cornwall. If you are getting married in the next couple of years, here are our Top Ten Tips!
Remember your wedding day, is your special day, and you want to be able to relax and enjoy every moment without being stressed.
1 It is best to plan plenty of time for each part of the day from getting ready, the ceremony, the reception and the evening party. Remember to plan plenty of time for photographs and any potential travel time.
• Getting ready – Allow lots of time for cravats, button holes and lace up dresses.
• Ceremony and reception – We recommend 1 – 2 hours, between the ceremony and the reception for group and natural photographs.
2 Is photography/filming allowed during the wedding ceremony at the venue?
3 Do you wish to have confetti shots?
• Not all guests may bring confetti, and at many weddings, cones of confetti/petals are now supplied.
• Remember to check if confetti is allowed at the venue(s)?
4 Do you plan to throw your wedding bouquet?
If you wish to keep it, you could consider throwing a mock bouquet of flowers.
5 What time of year are you getting married?
Is there any seasonal opportunities at your venue – bluebells flowering or fields of wheat?
6 We live in a beautiful part of the south west; Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset. Are there any special locations nearby or on route to the reception venue, that could be photography opportunities? If you plan to have some fun/romantic photographs taken in a field; on the moor or at the beach – remember your wellies or flip flops and sun glasses.
7 If you do plan to have some location shots taken during the day, ensure you also inform your wedding car company of your plans.
8 Wet weather – does your venue(s) offer inside opportunities if the weather is poor?
9 Do you or any of your wedding party wear glasses with reaction lenses? These lenses darken in sunlight, you may wish to wear contacts or clear lenses.
10 Group photographs – if there are any particular groups of people you would like photographs of, remember to let your photographer know.
