We love photographing weddings around the south west enjoy reading about some of our wedding adventures.

We popped down to Hartland Quay today… weather was overcast and a little wet but very atmospheric. Here are a couple of shots looking further down the coast to Tintagel… I love the colours of the rocks set against the white foamy waves!

We had a great pre-wedding meeting today with Rachel and Will who are getting married on March 8th at South Milton church and then going on to the beautiful Buckland  Tout-Sants for their reception. Not long to go Rachel and Will… look forward to seeing you in just 20 days time!

This year, my wife gave me this beautiful vintage brooch heart for Valentine’s Day. She hand made it especially for me. I love it… what a wonderful valentines gift!

Love Day Photography hope you all have a lovely Valentines Day. Whether you plan to stay in or go out for a romantic meal, we hope that you enjoy some special time together.

Let me leave you with these words of love by William Shakespeare, from Hamlet.

Doubt thou the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt I love.

I’ve been meaning to get out and take some photos of the rough weather we have been experiencing lately on the coast… and today was the day. I went to Teignmouth, just down the road from me and spent a couple of hours there including when it was high tide. There was a lot of spray so I had to keep cleaning the lens but it was well worth it.

The car park was flooding quite a bit, right next to the RNLI building and on one occasion I was hit by a wall of water. Fortunately my cameras stayed dry as I was able to shield them in my water proofs.

Great fun

Love Day Photography loved photographing your wedding days around Cornwall and Devon in 2013. Enjoy this small selection of our favourite wedding day moments…

We have been so lucky to have shared your special days, We have met some lovely couples and have enjoyed capturing their wedding days with their family and friends.

This year started with Katie and Ross’s wedding in February at Trevenna in Cornwall. Our couples were then treated to gorgeous weather throughout the year in the South West. We returned to some of our favourite venues including Dartington Hall, Buckland-Tout-Saints, Stoodleigh Court, Langdon Court and Corn Barn as well as having the opportunity to take wedding photographs at some new wedding venues. We love covering new places, and 2013 saw Love Day Photography take wedding photography at The Great Barn, Maunsel House, Northcote Manor, Reed Hall, Fox & Hounds and Woolacombe Bay Hotel.

We also had a lot of local weddings, near where we live in Bovey Tracey including Colehayes House, The Edgemoor Hotel and Two Bridges Hotel on Dartmoor.
