Yesterday Love Day Photography photographed Jade & Chris’s wedding day at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay. We popped by the bride’s parents house in Dawlish, to photography the bride getting ready. We even captured the bride and her bridesmaids in their onesies, on their return from the hairdressers! Jade looked stunning in her beautiful lace and chiffon dress. We loved the bright yellow roses and the bridesmaids blue dresses. Although there were heavy showers throughout the day, the couple were extremely lucky with the weather as we still managed to capture the group shots outside. The Imperial Hotel has a beautiful interior and the gardens overlooking the Bay have fantastic views. Later in the afternoon we also visited Meadfoot cove, where the couple had a romantic stroll on the slipway and a cheeky ice cream.
We love photographing weddings around the south west enjoy reading about some of our wedding adventures.
At the weekend, Love Day Photography were asked to cover Leanne & Dave’s wedding photography at The Moorland Garden Hotel at Yelverton, west Dartmoor. We enjoyed sharing this couple’s special day so much, and were honoured to be part of it. After a small ceremony at the hotel the couple enjoyed drinks in the gardens while the children enjoyed games. The wedding party enjoyed evening drinks in the late afternoon sun to the background of Drake’s 16 piece brass band.
In the early evening the couple were suprised and delighted by the appearance of the bride’s other love of her life, her horse Sunny! We captured some fantastic pictures and film of the bride, groom and Sunny. Leanne even had a quick gallop around!
This month we photographed at a new venue to us at Laura and Jody’s wedding. Stover School was the 18th Century home of the Templar family and is now a boarding school for both boys and girls, whilst also offering a beautifully picturesque venue for weddings. Two years ago the school celebrated its 80th Anniversary!
The couple live in Yorkshire and have recently added a new member to the Slatter family – their baby boy is just a few weeks old and made a huge impact with all the guests.
In the morning, Jody a keen footballer and member of Newton Abbot FC, organised a pre-wedding football match to be played on the school playing field – 4-1 I think the score was in the end in favour of team Jody.
For the ceremony, Laura wore an amazing champagne coloured dress with train, whilst Captain Jody Slatter was dressed in immaculate uniform with ceremonial sword. The ‘Jubilee Hall’ played host to the reception venue and the ‘Ice Luge’ was a real hit with both Laura and Jody and their guests.
Many congratulations to you both, not only on your marriage but on the birth of your beautiful baby boy – we hope you had an amazing day, thank you for allowing us to share it with you!
A couple of weekends ago Love Day Photography covered the photography for Emma and Matt’s wedding at The Palace Hotel in Torquay. We loved the sassy colours Emma had chosen for the day, bright yellow, orange and pink. Although the day was drizzly we were able to pop out and take some photographs in the beautiful landscaped gardens. By early evening we were even able to go down to Babbacombe and take some romantic shots with the couple on the beach and pier. The day was filled with high spirits and we were amazed by the top table jager bomb train! We have just uploaded their online wedding album and wanted to share some of our favourites.

Here are a few images that we took of Leanne and Dave at their Engagement photo shoot. Leanne is a keen horse rider and even her horse ‘Sunny’ wanted to get in on the act. We took a few photos of everyone and then decided that there was a certain four legged model that was ‘playing gooseberry’ and so Sunny retired back to her stable.
We’re looking forward to their wedding at The Moorland Garden Hotel next month… hoping for some ‘Sunny’ weather.
Love Day Photography have had another busy weekend. On Saturday we covered Jackie and Matt’s wedding photography at St Mellion Golf Resort in Cornwall. Thankyou for letting us share your special day, we loved meeting your families and friends especially little Finn.
And on Sunday it was lovely to catch up with Louise and Neil for a pre-wedding meeting and engagement photoshoot and hear about their wedding plans. The couple especially choose Fingle Bridge for some romantic photographs together. We had a really fun afternoon in the spring sunshine followed by a scrummy cream tea. We are really looking forward to your wedding at Holne Park in May 🙂
We’re really looking forward to Jackie and Matt’s wedding this weekend at the St Mellion Hotel in Cornwall. Love Day Photography are going to be there all day from the preparations through to the first dance in the evening. Hopefully there will be some sunny weather for us to get outside for some photos down by the water on the golf course.
Then on Sunday afternoon we are meeting with Louise and Neil at <a title="Holne Park House, Ashburton" href="http://www.holnepark.co vente viagra maroc.uk/” target=”_blank”>Holne Park House, Ashburton, to talk over the plans for their wedding in May. It’s a busy time for us now, let’s hope that the weather continues to be kind to us this summer.
What a beautiful week, it was great to see some sunny weather. Love Day Photography had a great week, it started with our first wedding of the year, we did the wedding photography for Rachel and Will’s special day in the South Hams. Then on Sunday we met with Jackie and Matt at St Mellion in Cornwall for a pre-wedding catch up before their wedding in April.
Rachel and Will were married in a traditional but very emotional church ceremony at South Milton Church to a backdrop of yellow daffodil’s and a beautiful blue sky. We loved this sweet little country granite church set up on a hill, surrounded by the glorious Devon countryside. The wedding had a very vintage feel, with the bride’s stunning lace dress, beautiful dusky pink bridesmaids dresses and rose bouquets created by Make it Special. The wedding party returned to Buckland-Tout-Saints and the day was filled with sunshine, smiles and spice. We loved sharing this couple’s special day and really enjoyed the girls special routine to ‘If you really what to be my lover’, by the Spice Girls!
We hope Rachel and Will have a fab honeymoon, here are a few of our favourite photographs from their wedding.

It’s been a great year for Love Day Photography since last year’s Westcountry Wedding Awards. We’ve had the privilege of capturing some very special memories for our couples which they can look back on to remind themselves of the wonderful commitment they made to eachother.
We’re looking forward to thursday evening when we will be with lots of other wedding suppliers from across the south west at the Westcountry Wedding Awards in Plymouth. Just being there as an award nominee is a fantastic achievement and I thank our team for thier hard work and dedication throughout the year… winning again, really would be the cherry on the cake.
On behalf of the Love Day Photography Team, thank you for your support, we look forward to another wonderful year x
This week saw Love Day Photography meet with Emma & Matt at the Palace Hotel, Torquay (Devon) for a pre-wedding meeting. We loved hearing more about their wedding plans and are really looking forward to taking their wedding photography on their day in early April.
The Palace Hotel’s gardens are beautifully manicured and will make a fantastic backdrop for wedding photographs. We also hope to be able to pop down to Babbacombe pier for some early evening photographs with them by the sea. If you haven’t been to Babbacombe before, it is definitely worth a visit, we love sitting at the Cary Arms looking out over the bay! One of our favourite moments was sitting on the terraces in the summer at sunset, enjoying a pint and seeing a basking shark gracefully glide by just metres from us.
