Viv Townsend at Love Day Photography loves capturing your special day through our natural wedding photography around Cornwall & Devon. The Westcountry is fantastic for some amazing venues and locations. We have many lovely memories of salty kisses, muddy wellies, lace dresses and stripey waistcoats.

I have been swept away by coastal romances on Cornwall’s Cliffs, we have climbed the tors of Dartmoor and scrambled through Devon woodlands.

We have shared some amazing moments, watched the boys run into the sea, the girls dance in their matching onesies, mums, dads, brides and grooms well up with love. Join you in corn fields in June, under rainbow umbrellas in August and on Cornish cliffs in September at sunset.

Cornwall & Devon is fantastic for traditional or relaxed venues we have many, many favourites.

We love the sleekness of St Ives Bay Harbour Hotel and the light in St Ives is so special. We love the country feel of weddings in marquees, Rosewarne and Gwel an Mor. We love the romance of Pendennis Castle and Polhawn Fort. We love the grandness of Pencarrow House and Bovey Castle.

We love sharing your special day x

Here are couple of Viv Townsend’s of Love Day Photography favourite shoots in Cornwall from earlier in the year.

He met with Jade and Jack at Holne Park for their pre wedding shoot and meeting. They brought their dog along with them, who was very well behaved, think he will be joining them on their big day later this year.

He spent a lovely spring evening with Jill and Gary’s on Lighthouse Hill, Portreath. They were so lucky to enjoy the beautiful golden hour which made for some very romantic and natural couple photographs for their pre wedding shoot. Viv is looking forward to joining them at Trenderway Farm for their wedding day.

We photographed our very first wedding at Bovey Castle last December. It was a clear, crisp winter’s day and Christmas was almost here. Nicola and Rob both looked amazing and the stunning backdrop of Bovey Castle truly made it a day to remember.

Wow, what a busy few weeks, Devon wedding photographer Love Day Photography have been lucky to cover the wedding photography for some amazing wedding days in Devon.

We have been at Holne Park in Ashburton, twice in the last month. We joined Louise and Neil for their special day at the end of May. The couple married at St Ide Church and Louise’s class created a unique guard of honour with metre rulers. The day was filled with lots of fun and the couple had a wonderful time with their friends and family.

In early June we covered  Josie & Leigh’s wedding day. They had a relaxed ceremony at Holne, and enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine, so were able to enjoy the Holne Park’s beautiful grounds. In the early evening the couple ventured up to Dartmoor, before popping in to the Harley Davidson rally nearby.  The couple were treated to an impromptu ride on a Harley Davidson, a big thank you to Andy and Hammy!

The following weekend we were asked to film and photograph Michelle and James at their country wedding at Rill Estate in Buckfastleigh. This was our first visit to this wedding venue, it is nestled in beautiful Devon countryside and we loved exploring the grounds. The couple had decorated the venue with 150 metres of bunting and the guests had a grand time dancing the night away at an evening ceilidh. Also a first for us was the Tasmanian lie detector the best man had made for the groom as part of his speech!

Yesterday Love Day Photography photographed Jade & Chris’s wedding day at the Imperial Hotel in Torquay. We popped by the bride’s parents house in Dawlish, to photography the bride getting ready. We even captured the bride and her bridesmaids in their onesies, on their return from the hairdressers! Jade looked stunning in her beautiful lace and chiffon dress. We loved the bright yellow roses and the bridesmaids blue dresses. Although there were heavy showers throughout the day, the couple were extremely lucky with the weather as we still managed to capture the group shots outside. The Imperial Hotel has a beautiful interior and the gardens overlooking the Bay have fantastic views. Later in the afternoon we also visited Meadfoot cove, where the couple had a romantic stroll on the slipway and a cheeky ice cream.
